Referees

All our games are refereed by the Westchester Soccer Referee Organization (WSRO) and are scheduled by the WYSL (Westchester Youth Soccer League) referee assignor.

The referee assignor is an independent contractor of the WYSL whose primary goal is to provide 100% coverage of all Westchester Youth Soccer League games, Westchester Premier League games, and Westchester Cup games with appropriately qualified referees assigned to games that match their current abilities and level of experience.

About the WSRO

The Westchester Soccer Referee Organization has its roots in the Westchester County Soccer Referee Society, which dates back to 1984. They are an organization of certified soccer referees situated in Westchester County, NY.

Their objectives are to recruit, train, register, certify, and provide assignment opportunities for their USSF-certified referee members. Their role includes providing courses for those who wish to join the ranks of soccer officials, keeping members up to date in the application of the FIFA Laws of the Game and techniques, and being an information source for all related matters.

They are affiliated with Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association, www.enysoccer.com and the United States Soccer Federation, www.ussoccer.com . Their group does not handle AYSO nor school soccer officiating.

The WSRO is always looking for more referees, and details can be found on their website: http://www.wsroref.com/
